Amrita has survived 'Dilli Ki Sardi Mein' quite successfully. From being a spunky VJ to the Bollywood's leading lady apni Ammu has indeed come a long way. But now when the summer is in the full swing, she is doing her bit to make you perspire, PROFUSELY.
Come June and you'll see her sharing love vibes with a girl onscreen.
No, it's not a typo error at all. Harry Baweja's 'Girlfriend' features Amrita and Isha Koppikar playing paramours, while Ashish try to pose some challenge to Isha by wooing her love/lust interest.
Now don't you dare ask Arora about the moral value of such relationship b'coz someone already did it and paid the price too when Amrita shouted back, "What's wrong about a lesbian story," the lady retorted. Don't you find such stories in real life, and movies are nothing but a reflection of life itself."
"I'm open to any kind of role if it offered some challenge to me," she adds.
Those who know her well, Ammu has never been a conformist. She believes in shaking things up, her way. That is why; she chose to dance on a hot song in ‘Zameen', when people in the industry were type casting her in a nice girl's role.
"I think it has changed the way people look at me. Even when I did the item number, I looked at it as a character, not as an isolated dance number for the film. I did it to establish a different image," she gushes.
And if you'd grill her a bit further she'll tell you how she loves being sexy.
"I'll tell you something frankly, more than professional reasons I think it is a personal statement. I am comfortable with my sexy image, there's nothing wrong in being sexy. It is sexy to be sexy," she declares.
We guess it's time Malaika learn a thing or two from the li'l sis. Right Ammu?
