When we last heard from Bebo, the pretty lass was crooning with joy. Was it a sheer happiness of a debutante playback singer or her first smooch with Fardeen, only Kareena can answer.
"The kissing scene was no big deal. I trusted Nihalani to shoot it artistically. I don't know why there's so much ado about my kiss," says Kareena after media blew her maiden kiss-affair out of proportion.
But the director Govind Nihalani is severely averse to the idea of publicising the smooch of the year. For him, Dev is much more than Bebo-Fardeen Kiss.
What about Fardeen?
"What about him? Fardeen is a buddy. He treats me like one of the boys. We're totally chilled out. Moreover, we are in 2004. So, let's grow up. If Raj Kapoor was so ahead of his time that he could show kissing on screen, I don't see anything wrong with it," she gushes.
She guards her love affair with the films as much as she guards her brashness or bindaas babe act.
According to her: "I can't do one film a year. I follow in the footsteps of actresses like Karisma and Madhuri Dixit, who had a host of releases in the first few years of their careers. And no one complained. People wanted more."
And like all the cardinal rules no Bebo talk is complete without Shahid's mention. Gossips, canards, rumours; say whatever you like, Kareena is least bothered.
"If I like someone, I have no qualms saying it. I can't be fake. I can't spend my life covering up the truth. I think he is far too correct for me," she gushes.
