Teepri (Sakshi Tanwar) has come into the life of Bhairav (Anoupe Soni) but that hasn't caught much imagination of
the viewers. The loyal viewers of Balika Vadhu will certainly take interest in this piece of gossip. According to
grapevine, Balika Vadhu will soon grow old by a generation thereby paving the way for a new Anandi and Jagdish.
The word drumming in the rumour mills is that both Avika (Anandi) and Avinash (Jagdish) have lost their charm.
Recent ratings of Balika Vadhu haven't been great. Besides, Anandi's amnesia track took a beating from Indian
Premier League. Auditions for the new Avika and Anandi are likely to begin in a month or two.
However, a source who is closely associated with the show rubbishes this news.
"Do your seriously think that the channel will let go of the kids. Being an integral part of the show, I don't see any
such thing happening, " said the source.
Avinash's father Dev too expressed surprised at this news. "I haven't heard of any leap in Balika Vadhu. My son is
contracted for another year. So, I don't think there'll be any change to the principal cast, " said Mukherjee senior.
Well, Anandi and Jagdish might take more time to grow but we're hearing that the next track will see the return of
unheralded character Nihal Singh.
Says a source, "Nihal Singh is the guy who vows to help Khajaan Singh (Chetanya Adib) whilst the latter was in jail.
He asks Khajaan to join his illegal business. The Khajaan-Nihal nexus will now be shown in detail. This character is
played by an actor called Arvind."
The question that beckons now is that with a new track in the anvil, will Teepri be phased out?
"No, that will not happen. We can run two characters simultaneously, " said a source from the production.
