Education is important but the lure of glamour world often distracts young teens from pursuing further education.
Neha Marada aka Gehna of Balika Vadhu fame though was left with no option after her mother gave her an
ultimatum to either complete her graduation or quit her profession. Left with no choice, Marda appeared for her
TY.B.A exams this summer.
"I've got bored of studying but that doesn't mean I'm not a bright student. Right from my school days, I've always
scored distinction marks. I had to take a break from studies after getting into the TV industry.
However,
this year my mother issued me an ultimatum to either complete my graduation or quit work and return home to
Kolkata. Since, I can't afford to lose work, I was left with no option but to appear for my exams this summer, " said
Marda.
The Marwari from Kolkata gave her exams through open school. She's hoping to be a graduate in B.A with honors
in Economics. This is never an easy subject. Is Marda confident of clearing the exams?
"Yes, I'm quite confident that I'll pass with good marks. Economic isn't as difficult as it's made out to be. All you
need is a basic understanding of the subject and thereafter you can write 3 page answers for each question.
Besides, I've taken other scoring subjects such as home science, arts and crafts, computers and English.
I'm quite confident of passing out with flying colours, " the actress sighed.
We hope for the same Neha.
