Cricketer-turned actor Salil Ankola is once again in the news for his alcoholism. After barely managing to hold onto his family Ankola's errant ways has reportedly cost him his accommodation in Mumbai.

According to a report, Ankola was asked to vacate his flat no 401 in Elisha Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai. The building secretary informed the tenant Dorothy Mathias who then asked Ankola to vacate the flat immediately.

A resident of the building was quoted saying that Ankola had to be carried off by 6-7 men few days ago since he was too drunk. Also a man and a lady were staying with Salil and he used to have ugly fights with the man. On the day when one last saw him, he came to the building with that man and they had one of their usual spats.

Two kids were also present in the flat and they ran out when the fight started. After some time, six to seven men came and took him away. He could not stand on his feet when he came down. He looked drunk. They put him in a car and he was given an injection.

The actor is now said to be in his Pune home with his parents, wife and kids.

Salil Ankola remained unavailable for comment.

A few months back, the actor had claimed to have been rehabilitated successfully but this instance only prove that's he's far off from his drinking habits.

Ankola's close friend Rahul Raj Singh though denied the actor is in any bad condition.

"This might be just an odd occasion but Salil has curbed down his alcoholism drastically. Besides, he's happy in personal life too. Salil had come along with his wife to the launch of my cricket team. Out there, he had just a few drinks. I haven't met for the last 15-20 days, but I can easily vouch that Salil is in much better shape and health than before, " said Singh.
