Director Dilip Mehta confirmed it and stated that the book will feature each cast and crew member's favorite Indian dish. He has already cooked live on a popular Canada show, Canada AM, where they prepared a recipe from the film.
Dilip asserts that the film isn't just about cooking. The title of the film is to suggest the trouble that goes on in the core of Stella's (Seema Biswas) home, that is, her kitchen.
A private screening of the movie was held on Sunday, April 11, by the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.
Dilip gushed about how it was a super screening, with a number of diplomats and expatriates present, who appreciated how charmingly the film dealt with the master-servant relationship.
The director admits that the Indian housewives who attended the screening and are usually preoccupied with what their domestic staff does behind their back enjoyed the film a lot.
The Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles' (IFFLA) opening night Gala presentation will be Cooking With Stella, where Lisa Ray will be joining Dilip on the red carpet.
