The Ranbir Kapoor starrer Kishore Kumar biopic, directed by Anurag Basu will have the legendary singer's son, Amit Kumar, doing the playback.

Anurag was impressed when he saw Amit on a Bengali music reality show recently. The filmmaker feels that with age, Amit seems to resemble his father's expressions, body language and the energy with which he lived life. He wants Amit to be the one singing for Ranbir in the movie.

Kishore Kumar's younger son, Sumeet, sang a version of his father's song Bachna Ae Haseenon for Ranbir's movie with the same name. Now, it will be Amit singing for Ranbir.

In order to make sure his biopic is made successfully, Anurag has been in touch Kishore Kumar's other family members. He is glad that Leena Chandavarkar is acquainted with his work and has faith that he will be doing justice to the biopic.

It will touch over every aspect of the singer's life, even his involvement with actress Madhubala. Anurag states that he wants to bring out every part of the singer's life, as a singer, actor, writer, composer, husband and father. He agrees it will be challenging and he wants to test himself with it.

He will begin shooting for the film as soon as Anurag finishes filming Silence.
