Oops.. she did it again! She fooled us all with her Playboy hype and naive we, actually, fell for her booby trap.
Mallika is so good at her work that it took vice-president of Playboy, Bill Farley, to come out with a statement to quash the rumours.
"We've not approached Mallika. I've been reading stories about Playboy making an offer to her, but that's not true at all. I've even checked with our photo director; he denies it. But if she's interested, she can send us her photos, we'll consider her," says Farley.
But that doesn't mean the sleaze magazines in the west are oblivious to the Indian talent. They've already savoured Nicole Narain as Playboy's Miss January 2002 Playmate.
Born in Illinois, Narain had been modeling all her life until one fortunate day when Playboy offered her to pose nude.
Since then, Nicole has been a regular feature in Playboy and Mardi Gras. Unlike many, she also shares a special proximity with Hugh Hefner.
Proud of her rare feat, Nicole says, "Since, I've become a Playmate I've gotten recognised on the streets quite often. My family is very proud of the fact that I'm a Playmate."
Then there are likes of Sunny Leone and Angela Devi, who'd their share of fame too.
While Angela has been modeling for Hustler, Sunny has been burning the midnight oil to become a registered nurse. Her dare bare feat-- Being awarded ‘Pet of the Year' in 2003 by Penthouse.
"It's great being a model. In my spare time, I love riding my horse and playing with my bunny," says the 23-year-old Sunny. Angela on the other hand is aware of the darker side of the adult modeling and has learnt to live with it.
"My parents are from New Delhi, but I was born in New York. My parents are fascinated with the Taj Mahal. I want to become a corporate CPA and have a loving family with two beautiful children. I love modeling as a hobby," she says.
Do anyone still need Mallika Sherawat?
