Amrita Rao is a troubled girl these days. Her Deewaar has crumbled with in first week of critical onslaught, Bebo has walked away with Shahid a long ago and to make the matters worse Amrita Arora has dragged her into the Girlfriends' pool.
The poor girl couldn't sleep a wink, since the day Karan Razdan's lesbian movie hit the marquee. People, who confuse her for her namesake Amrita Arora, keep asking her all sort of embarrassing questions like why she did such a movie.
"I have a hard time convincing people that I am an actress from 'Main Hoon Na' and 'Masti'. The callers refuse to believe me when I say I'm Amrita Rao, not Amrita Arora. They accuse me of trying to fake my identity out of sheer desperation," she sighs.
The 19-year-old's career took a huge leap when SRK cast her in his home production 'Main Hoon Na'. No wonder, her heart goes in appreciation for the King at a mere mention of his name.
"I've grown up watching SRK's films, he is simply the God," gushes Rao.
With Deewaar, Amrita did her best to shed her coy image, but only in vain, assert trade pundits. Her Piya Bawri song looks more like a dance number than a seduction number, they maintain.
Amrita's take, "I know, it hardly looks like a seduction song but it has a very innocent and cute touch to it. I can't help it. I am a little shy about all these things."
Seems like someone badly needs the company of 'Girlfriends'. Is Amrita listening?
