WWE heavy-weight star The Great Khali is making his Bollywood debut with Hindi film ‘Ksuhti'. He will be sharing the
screen with actors Asrani, Rajpal Yadav, Om Puri and Sharat Saxena.
‘ Kushti' is set in a village in North India, notorious for its obsession with wrestling where the trusteeship of the village
temple is decided by an annual wrestling match. This match has been fought for the past many years by two fierce
opponents, Jiten Singh (Om Puri) and Avtar Singh (Sharat Saxena).
Both want to win the prestigious and lucrative trusteeship of the village temple against the other.
Avtar Singh has a young and beautiful daughter Ladli (Nargis). She is a big fan of Salman Khan. One day, Chander
(Rajpal Yadav), the new postmaster arrives. He has come to take charge of the old post office in the village, which has
been closed for some time.
Chander meets Laadli and falls in love with her instantly. However he is scared to approach her as he finds out that he
is the daughter of the ferocious ex-wrestler, Avtar Singh.
Chander in the process of sorting of letters for dispatch from the letterbox, Chander finds a letter addressed to Salman
Khan, Super star, Mumbai. He opens the letter and finds out that the letter is sent by Laadli.
He decides to play a mischievous game and Laadli ends up thinking he is Salman Khan's best friend.
The rest of the movie is all about Chander trying to woo Laadli, and getting approved by her father.
But the main highlight of the film is a fight sequence between the seven- and-a- half feet Khali and the 5 feet tall Rajpal
Yadav.
How Chander wins his love in the ‘Kushti' ring against The Great Khali forms the climax in the film.
The movie is produced by Venus films and is directed by Rajeev Kumar. It will be releasing on May 14.
