Music composer A. R. Rahman has expressed his excitement over bringing East and West together with his forthcoming tour "The A. R. Rahman Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour. "

According to Rahman, they wanted to get the best of both worlds, that is, the premium team from America and the soul of the music and the traditions of India for the tour.

As reported earlier by us, the tour begins on June 11 at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island and will play at least 20 shows in North America and Europe. It will be staged by American creative director Amy Tinkham, who has earlier worked with Madonna, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears and Paul McCartney.

The show, which will run for two-and-a-half-hours, will feature a number of musicians, dancers and acrobats, along with changing sets and an extensive video production.

Rahman states that what is added is a new dimension which nobody, especially the Asian audience, has ever seen. This time, the concert will be integrated and every musical bar and every second is integrated with technology, unlike an ordinary concert.

Rahman will be playing keyboards and singing during the show, as well as speaking to the audience to explain the meanings and creation of the songs. He reveals that they're looking at a universal appeal to this.

There are some English songs but even for those that aren't, audiences can still come and enjoy the musicality and the whole culture and colorfulness and the vibrancy of Indian things, he states.
