SRK producing TV musical drama for children

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is known for pampering his two children. And now, he is set to enthral children across the country with a new musical drama that he is producing for Disney Channel.

The show is titled "Ishaan" and it's based on an inspirational journey of a young boy who finds friends and a sense of belonging through music.

"I have always enjoyed watching Disney Channel with my kids and I am happy that my company is producing a show that will be part of the Disney family, " Shah Rukh, who heads the television arm of his Red Chillies Entertainment, said in a press release.

The show will include a soundtrack of 11 original tracks. Other than various child artistes, "Ishaan" will see television personalities Shruti Ulfat, Rajinder Mehra and Rajiv Paul.

It will go on air May 15.
