Since its release, LSD has made news for all the right as well wrong reasons, but this did not stop the movie from being such a crowd puller.
With this movie, the 'Queen Bee' Miss Kapoor forays into the experimental genre. Ekta admits to being "shocked" by this movie; she did not expect someone like Dibakar Banerjee, who at first sight looks like a sweet, innocent and seemingly harmless guy who can do no wrong, forget making a movie about it!!!
After watching the movie, Ekta had a change of opinion, though she did not want her parents to watch this movie. With LSD, Ekta brings to the people how the youngsters today have a different view point about sex and love.
About the movie she says that now a days people and youngsters look at sex, not with means to get pleasure, but to take revenge or malign any one, or else boys do it to just get publicity with their group. But that is then sad for the girl.
Though she is very proud of the movie, Ekta still considers the television industry her true love; after all she has given us timeless (literally speaking) serials like 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' and 'Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki' with more to come. She says that TV is her power, and LSD her pride.
With LSD, Ekta has broken a lot of barriers and shown the moral police, i.e. Censor board, that she is here to make quality movies.
She will also have a few movies that will hit the floors soon, one being Shor with 'Heroes' hottie, Sendhil Ramamurthy, and Special Chabbis with Neeraj Pandey. Also, hit film maker of the Golmaal Series, Rohit Shetty, will be working with Ekta's production house, Alt Production, on a new movie, after he finishes his with Golmaal 3.
