Director Onir, whose forthcoming film "I Am" stars actress Manisha Koirala as a Kashmiri Muslim girl, revealed that he convinced her for the role on e-mail.

"When I was casting for my film, I knew Manisha would fit the bill for the role of a Kashmiri Muslim. She was in the US that time, so I sent her an e-mail and convinced her to do the film, " he said.

"I Am" also stars Sanjay Suri, Juhi Chawla, Rahul Bose and Nandita Das, among others.
