The ash clouds hovering over Europe seem to be playing havoc with schedules in Bollywood as well. The most severely affected project is Pankaj Kapoor's Mausam which was meant to start with a schedule last month in Scotland. It was cancelled after Iceland's volcano Eyjafjallaj kull first erupted with ash-clouds enveloping the European skies.
The schedule had to be cancelled in the hope that the Mausam team would make up for lost time in the next schedule. However Shahid and his father's proposed travel plans to Scotland this week had to be cancelled again because of the ash clouds.
The Mausam crew was booked for Edinburgh on May 16. For the second time their trip was cancelled, thereby creating a panic situation within the unit. Shahid and his father are now scheduled to fly to Scotland on May 22. In the meanwhile, Shahid is chilling.
Confirming the unscheduled setbacks to Mausam, Shahid says, "I'm just chilling with family and friends. There's no point worrying about things that are out of one's control."
They too!
Other B-Town folk affected by Iceland's volcanic eruptions again include:
>> Rakesh Roshan and his family " wife Pinky, son Hrithik and daughter-in-law Sussanne with Kites director Anurag Basu and lead actress Barbara Mori who were in New York on Sunday for the premiere of Kites.
They were stranded at the airport. Later they managed to board the only flight that left NY for London and reached just in time for the London premiere of Kites
>> Kunal Kapoor was to leave for London on Monday for action training. He had to postpone his trip.
>> Ekta Kapoor was to leave for London on Sunday for business meetings
