Those wanting to see Ranbir Kapoor in a totally new look will be happy. The actor is experimenting with his look for Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar.

Ranbir who plays the lead singer of a rock band will be seen sporting shoulder-length hair in the film. However, it wasn't easy settling on the final look.

Both Imtiaz and Ranbir kept playing with the length of his hair till they zeroed in upon the one they both liked. A source says, "Ranbir wanted to go with a short crop, but Imtiaz felt he should grow his hair."
