And it isn't easy for Priyanka.
After days of attempting to contact her one is finally able to get through to her on a local Coorg number.
Says Priyanka, "No network, so I can't stay in touch with anyone. This has been my longest innings away from family friends and a social life, unless of course you the company of the leeches.
I haven't been able to keep in touch with anyone at all except for that one day when I had to fly into Delhi for my grandmother's funeral."
Priyanka's mom recently went to Coorg to spend time with her daughter, "But that was for just a brief while. My parents are busy running their health clinic in Mumbai. So they've no time for me. But my three closest friends are expected in Coorg very soon."
Priyanka has been shooting non-stop. "There is no time to think of anything except work and sleep. And yes I've been reading a lot of books and scripts after shooting. Otherwise I'm totally focused on getting my character right."
And this time Priyanka has plenty to get right. "In a way the lack of distraction is ideal. Because I've never done a tougher role. Believe me Saat Khoon Maaf is my biggest challenge to date. I don't know if I can pull it off. But the fact that there's only the work to focus on is definitely helping."
Priyanka not only has to play a woman who murders her husbands she also has to age to 60. Says Priyanka, "Playing a murderous woman is not the biggest challenge. I've to get into the psyche of a woman who ages by 40 years in the span of the film."
Priyanka has been going through various transitional phases with the help of books, prosthetics and of course "Vishal Sir"
"I'm completely dependent on his vision. True, playing unusual characters is not new to me.I played a pretty wacked-out character in my first film Aitraaz.
But in Saat Khoon Maaf my character starts at age 20 and goes to 60.. That's really tricky. We've done looks test of me at 60. Will I look hot as a 60-year old? I hope so."
She laughs, then gets serious. "I feel a lot of responsibility has been put on me.And I'm very tense about getting it right. But I can really depend on Vishal Sir."
Priyanka is all praise for her director. "Here I need a lot more guidance than Kaminey. After two films I share a relationship with Vishal Sir that I haven't shared with any other director. We understand each other instinctively. I feel very flattered by the fact that he's making his first woman-centric film with me."
There are inputs on location in Coorg from Priyanka. "But Vishal Sir accepts them only when he likes them."
