Shaimak Davar, the renowned chorographer is going to mentor a dance based reality show 'Street Dance' on UTV
Bindass. The dancing guru does not want to see jumping stunts in his show; he wants serious dance performances
only.
When asked about the kind of dance, he wants to see on the floors, Shaimak says, "We want something that comes
straight out of the heart. Stunts are not welcome.
I totally agree with Saroj Khan that dance is not all about
stunts; it's about how to execute a story with your body. If dance means stunts than the dancing stage is no different
from a circus where people are hanging from the edge and jumping up and down."
Shaimak adds, "Dance is an art and that stunts not at all. I want the kind of dance that Saroj Khan would be watching
on the show because she is the pioneer and all others just follow her."
"Dance is not heavy sets, attires and stunts, a dance can also be executed within a room. Like I did in the movie 'Dil
Toh Pagal Hai', where Madhuri Dixit and Karishma Kapoor danced in a room with no props in hand and no glamorous
sets", concludes Shaimak
