No romance was brewing on the sets of "I Hate Luv Storys", says Punit Malhotra, who has been linked with Sonam Kapoor, the female lead of his ready-to-release directorial debut.

"We are just friends and nothing more. There is nothing between us, " Malhotra, 28, told over the phone from Mumbai.

"Both Sonam and I didn't even concentrate on the stories because we knew and everyone else also knew that these are just rumours. So there was no awkwardness between us while shooting the film."
