10 am: Whenever I stay at the Ritz, I think of princess Diana. Strange how this hotel is most famous for where she was seen last. It's the most elagant of hotels I have stayed in ! We have breakfast by the poolside. Still cloudy !
12 noon: Got an appointment at Rossano Ferretti on Rue Cambon for a new hairstyle!
2 pm: Lunch at Le Meurice on Rue de Rivoli ! Have indulged in the most sinful chocolate dessert. Its opposite the parc des Tuileries so we decide to stroll down to park towards the Champs-Elysees ! Reach Louis Vuitton store. They have a queue to get in. Can you believe people are standing in the rain?)
4 pm: We decide to shop on the Avenue Montaigne: Chanel, Ferragamo, Gucci, Dior, Prada! I manage to get a few pairs of shoes but my main splurge today is at Chanel! Very nice bags and love their ballerina flat shoes ! Burnt the credit cards completely
6 pm: Bought the most unbelievable macaroons from Paris' best pastry chef, Pierre Herme. Need hot French coffee to go! Sun's finally out! Feels like summer again!
8 pm: Dinner in the Marais at a quaint restaurant in the quarter. We then visited friends who live nearby at the Place des Vosges and sat on their terrace from where we could see a beautiful view of the Sacre Coeur Basilico of Montmartre.
11 pm: We walk back to the hotel stopping at Notre Dame, St Michel and St Germain. The whole Latin quarter was alive with scores of people filling the streets until the wee hours of the morning! Je t'aime Paris!
