Neelima Azeem had announced the launch of her film Nawab Nautanki in December 2009. It didn't take off due to various hassles, which included casting. The shooting was then slated to begin in January this year but with producer Lord Mukul Paul Taneja backing out at the last minute, Neelima and her crew are now back at square one.
A source reveals "Neelima has been planning this film for the last three years. She knows what she wants. She also wasn't happy with the producer.
She believes that rather than working with any producer just to meet deadlines, it is better to ally with someone who believes in her. Now Neelima has got the backing of a corporate house to fund the film. The new team has promised her full support and also a larger scale for her venture."
The film will start by October. Right now, pre production work is on in full swing. Azim confirms, "Yes. I am working with new producers and am really excited to begin my film. However, an official announcement will only happen in two weeks' time."
Nawab Nautanki will be shot around Bhopal and other places in North India. Apart from doing the choreography for her film along with Pandit Birju Maharaj, Neelima will also be writing the lyrics for the film.
