However, if you thought that the director would take a break and just bask in the glory of the different awards and acclaims, then here's news for you.
Chauhan is busy these days location hunting for his next movie.
And during one such trip he got a chance to visit NASA.
"Since childhood I have had this dream to visit NASA and trust me it was a great feeling to be there. I got to see Apollo 15 Lunar Module Falcon there. When dreams come to life it is hard to put your feelings into words and that is the state I am in right now, " says Chauhan.
A trip to NASA became possible because of his trip to Houston.
"I had gone to Houston for the film festival and had received best film, special jury award for my movie Lahore. On that trip I tried to find out how one can visit NASA. That is where I met Consulate General of India, Sanjiv Arora, who got me an entry to the place. Also he got me a special 'out-of-turn' permission to move around freely and talk to the officials there. I felt very lucky, " shares Chauhan.
Chauhan's writing a script for a Sci Fi movie and has two co-writers because of the technicalities involved. He might make another visit to the space center next month, but whether it is for his next movie or it is just a dream that Chauhan is living... only time will tell.
