The show resulted in a major turnaround for the Indian Television industry especially its culture. The concept of serials changed after this show as well. But ‘Kyunki... succeeded in beating its compatriots by being on air for 8 long years. Apparently, the audience remains loyal till date and are ready to watch it again, if commenced.

Hiten Tejwani, who played the character of Karan and was a part of the legendary show, said, "People are still big fans of ‘Kyunki... as it was a show which lasted for all of 8 years and was a big hit.

It kept the people tied up to the story. The audience was somewhat addicted to the show and now that it has gone off-air abruptly, they still have expectations of it re-surfacing once again. They are, in fact, waiting for the Kyunki Sequel."
