When Aishwarya Rai took time off from shooting and inaugurated an eye hospital here, she was perhaps not expecting Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde declare his admiration for her "sea green eyes".
And those beautiful eyes the actress has already donated for research.
Aishwarya Sunday evening inaugurated the Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital and Aditya Jyot Eye Bank and
made a short three-minute speech. Shinde, while addressing the gathering on the occasion, took the
opportunity to say that he is a "die-hard fan" of the star's "sea green eyes".
However, much to the chagrin of the assembled crowd, the ceremony stretched on and on with 20
doctors deciding to "say something" at the occasion. Even Aishwarya, who is usually seen giggling,
looked tired and her smiles vanished after some time.
