After their exchange of words in the media two years ago, they exchanged amicable messages on a micro-blogging site, and one hoped all was well, till RGV cracked a joke on Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming film Ra.One.
Ramu wrote, "Let's all hope and pray that Ra.One does not become SRK Ki Aag". To which KJo replied, "You have an amazing sense of humour, Ramu!!
Never shows up in your films though." Shah Rukh who is away on a cruise (we were the first ones to tell you about it) hasn't defended his film yet.
Meanwhile...
Meanwhile Pritish Nandy doesn't think (and we agree) that Anupam Kher's decision to opt out of the film where he was to play Hitler, is a sound one. Anyway, here are some of the exchanges they had on Twitter:
P: Opting out of Hitler's a bad idea. Acting in a film on a guy doesnt mean you endorse his views. You're only acting out his life. Would you have rejected the role of Hannibal Lecter if it was offered to you?
A: A friendship of 28 yrs allows you the liberty and joy to pick up phone and ask for the truth rather than pass judgment :)
P: Heavens, I am not passing judgement. I am only debating your argument on twitter. It's a point worth fencing over, D'Artagnon.
A: You invite me to book launch, you call me. You don't come to my function, you tell me privately. So why advise publicly :)
The last word came from Mahesh Bhatt who reveals that Kher refused the film because his wife Soni Razdan's mom who is a Jew asked him not to play the part of the world's most hated man.
