Zayed Khan gifted himself tickets to the FIFA World Cup semi finals and finals (July7 and 8) on his birthday. Khan left on Sunday morning for South Africa.
Speaking to us on the eve of his departure on Saturday night Zayed said, "I leave on Sunday to watch the semi-finals between Holland, Germany, Uruguay and Spain and then the finals.
It has been my dream since I was 16 to watch the world cup soccer final but wasn't rich enough then. Now that I can afford it, I am going with a couple of friends. We made plans a year ago. I will be in Cape Town and Johannesburg."
He revealed, "I don't watch all the matches but only the most interesting ones. It was very disappointing to see Brazil go out."
ZK went on to say, "I will miss my wife Malaika and son Zidane but there's not a single moment that I don't miss them. These plans were made a year ago and I am very excited to watch the matches.
I will miss my family on my birthday but I believe in living life to the fullest -- making it an offbeat adventure. I have all that I want -- now my next dream is to take Zidane for the next World Cup soccer finals. He will be the right age then."
