PS: By the way, Chedum is Konkani for girl
Eesha Koppikhar has a natural aptitude for languages. Besides her mother tongue, the Konkani girl also speaks fluent Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil and Spanish. Now eight months after her wedding to restaurateur Timmy Narang, Eesha wants to master Punjabi.
New fav language
According to sources, she is planning to learn the language. Eesha confirms, "It's my new favourite language. I have always wanted to marry a Punju guy.
They really have a zest for life. My best friend is a Sardar so he would always speak to me in that language, and now I have decided to learn it seriously."
For the kids
When asked if she is doing it to please her in-laws like a dutiful bahu, she says, "Well my in-laws are like my parents. Which girl wouldn't want to please her in-laws? But I am learning Punjabi so that I can teach it to our kids. I want my kids to speak fluent Punjabi and for that, I need to learn it first."
Talking about picking up the language, she adds, "I try and speak it with everyone around me. I have told everyone in the family to speak only in Punjabi, so that it's easier for me to pick up. It's a jovial language and I should get the hang of it soon."
No regrets
Eesha is currently shooting for Hello Darling and plans to take on new projects around September.
"I am in a great place right now. Marriage to Timmy has been the best thing to happen to me.
In fact, I haven't even realised how these eight months passed. I think having a good personal life is very important for an actor. And if you have a partner who has your back, you are set, " she says.
When asked if she regrets not being part of Don 2, she laughs, "You can't win all the time. I think they are working with Lara for the sequel. I wish Farhan and his team all the very best. Don will always be special to me."
