It was a surprise when Zee TV decided to introduce Rajshree Thakur and Manav Gohil in Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo. Now comes the shocker. Ratan Rajpoot, who has been the face of the show since its beginning, might not figure in the show again and it seems our Laali is all set die in the show.

Well, that is something that time will tell. For now, we're hearing that Laali will be shot dead in the show.

A reliable source says, "Fed up with his father Loha Singh and his evil ways, Shekhar (Abhishek Rawat) loses his cool and decides to kill him. He fires a gun shot, but Laali saves Loha Singh (Sudesh Berry) by taking the bullet on her chest. That's not all! There's more misery for the girl as she falls from a cliff and dies."

Not too long ago, Laali was said to be all but dead after she suffered injuries whilst assisting Shekhar in the bull race. Back then, the channel wanted to see how the show would fare without Ratan. Will something similar happen now?

"I have no idea about that. As per the current script, Laali will die this way. Ratan looks visibly upset. I have my doubts whether she'll be recalled."

Ratan Rajpoot didn't reply to our text message.

Just yesterday, news broke out that the show will have new entrants in the form of Rajshree Thakur and Manav Gohil.

"I am really excited to work with industry veterans like Manav Gohil and Rajshree Thakur. My character will go through a complete turnaround. Laali has had her share of sorrows and hardships. Now it is time for her to enjoy life." Ratan was quoted in a report on Tuesday.

That perhaps rules out any ego hassles on her part to work with an established name like Rajshree. Is it TRPs then? There's no denying that Agle Janam's ratings have dropped. The media has often carried tales of Rajpoot's alleged tantrums. Is she paying the price for that?

Well, whatever it may be that prompted the channel and the producer to go for this tragic track, there's no denying that it was Rajpoot who made the show. Her ardent fans will hope that she continues to be the face of the show.
