His Hollywood project is shelved

A R Rahman's Hollywood project Street Dancing has been shelved. According to Ashok Amritraj, who was to produce the film, the subject has become dated as there are other films on the same topic.

A couple have already been released while one is waiting to be released. Ashok feels it is better to shelve the project than release a film on a topic that has already been tackled.

Rahman had already done a lot of work on the project, which will now obviously not be utiilised. Ashok says he hopes he will get another chance to work with the maestro on another project.

The duo had worked together earlier on the Aishwarya Rai starrer Jeans.
