"It was the demand of the script."
Ask any producer and he'll tell you how this golden line brings music to his financially tattered ears apart from the ringing cash register sounds.
Bipasha used it for her sex romp on the beach, in 'Jism'. Mallika enunciated it before donning the most colourful bikini Bollywood had ever seen. Neha used it to make that last piece of garment a bit more skimpy and now it's Monalisa and her ilk's turn to get raunchy on screen with this trite mantra.
Did anyone say Tauba Tauba?
Exactly, that's name of the game. Come October and Monalisa will scorch screen in the film with the same name along with Payal Rohatgi, who plays the love interest of the 15-year-old. While latter was torn between playing the upright tutor or object of desire for the kid, the Bong lass was having a gala time with Rocky Sandhu.
According to the insiders, it couldn't get any dirtier. The two shared the most intimate scenes ever portrayed on screen including umpteen kisses and bedroom romps. No wonder, TLV Prasad is all smiles because of of his directorial prudence.
But it is just a beginning for Monalisa, who had been hailed as an item girl from the East. After giving heartburn to Payal in the film, her hitlist now reads Bipasha and Mallika as the top targets and why not, when the girl is willing to do 'EVERYTHING' what it takes to be there.
According to the bindaas babe: "I know what people want from us. Although girls have been flaunting their bare legs on screen, it's just not enough. I think the Indian audience now wants to see actresses do topless scenes. I have no hesitation in enacting a topless scene."
"If by removing my bra I help to further the narrative of the film, I would be comfortable doing it. However, it should be as per the demand of the script. I know what foreign films need. I am ready to do nude scenes too," she adds.
No prizes for guessing that Lizzy baby has her eyes set on the Hollywood but she isn't the only one with the high aspirations.
One more model-turned actress, Rakhi Sawant, couldn't agree more.
"You see the audience wants this. Big budget films are getting flopped while those like 'Murder' and 'Hawas' are turning hits. In this situation there is nothing left to you. So you have to, whether you like it or not," she opines.
Rakhi plays a lead role in Deepak Tijori's film 'Khamosh' and also gave hot bathroom scenes and before you even confront her with the nudity involved she lashes out, "I can't understand why so much of fuss is being created. I have done whatever other heroines are doing these days."
Ahem... what about her controversial undies? Listen it from the babe herself.
"I didn't know that the panty given to me for this bathroom scene is transparent. But on the screen it seems to be transparent. I am not annoyed with this. I felt comfortable with this scene because this was the demand of the script."
For a perplexed audience here is the bottom line: Raj Kapoor is dead and so is elegant erotica. It's time to REMIX the passion.
