According to the insiders, the problems have been simmering for a long time and Saif finally decided to out of his Belscott Towers bungalow in Lokhandwala, Versova, and move to a rental apartment.

The Hum-Tum star has also closed their joint accounts and withdrawing his share.

Khan's sister Soha Ali Khan hints at the break-up. ‘‘I don't know yet because I've been out travelling and haven't met my brother for a while. I'm not sure if it's true but if there is a problem then I hope they sort it out soon,'' she says.

The couple have two kids, Sara and Ebrahim.
