Actress Anahita Nair, popularly known as Aliya Bose of 2007 film "Chak De India", will now be seen in Nagesh Kukunoor's "Aashayein".

Anahita plays John Abraham's friend in the movie that narrates the story of a compulsive gambler, Rahul Singh (John) who discovers new meanings of fortune and life through a dramatic turn of events.

"Anahita has a very challenging role in the film and has worked very hard preparing for it, " said a source from the unit of "Aashayein". "The role she portrays in the film is different from the role she essayed in 'Chak De India'."
