On 15th August Mika Singh created a new record for Indian singers by being the only Indian singer to sing to a capacity crowd of 25,000 people at the Sydney Olympic stadium in Australia.

The crowds that lined up to buy tickets to hear this concert included Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and local Australians.

This was Mika Singh's solo concert and the crowd had traveled from nearby cities to attend the special Independence Day celebrations with the singer.

Mika was overwhelmed with the response he received from the crowd to his hit numbers that included 'Ae Ganpat', 'Dil Mein baji guitar', 'Mauja he mauja', 'Ibne Batuta', 'Tell me Something' and his latest hit 'Apni Toh Jaise Taise'.

"Its great to receive so much love from so many people and I am very touched to see them turn out in such large numbers to hear me sing.

I am so glad that I could make them enjoy their evening and go back home with a smile on their faces! Its not everyday that one gets such amazing crowd to sing to and I hope to repeat this in India soon." Gushed Mika, from Australia.
