Bollywood stars always find out some new gimmick to promote their movies. Saif Ali Khan has also found out a new
trick to promote his upcoming movie Agent Vinod. The actor has teamed up with Trine Animation and Gaming Studio's
game creator Sangam Gupta to create an Agent Vinod playstation.
The pre-release promotions of the movie will start in April 2011 with the launch of this PlayStation game and a comic
book on Agent Vinod.
Saif himself is a game freak and his favorites are 'Half Life' and 'Quake for PS2' and also 'The Mist' amongst strategy
titles. The 24 year old Sangam Gupta has already developed eight-nine games, which includes 'Wii Yoga', 'Gothic 3' and
Sony's soon-to-release 'Street Cricket'.
Gupta has been in discussion with Saif for last three weeks. He showed Saif one of his favorites called 'Uncharted 2:
Among Thieves', which like the star's movie, revolves around a secret service agent on a treasure hunt.
Gupta was quoted stating that Saif loved the game and now they are planning to come out a shooter game in that line.
He said the players can play Agent Vinod and go searching for clues across the country with additional characters like
that of Kareena Kapoor.
Both the game and the comic will have some characters, which may not exist in the movie.
This is definitely an innovative idea and good way to attract the young viewers with the help of the game.
