Known for playing off-beat roles, Bollywood actor Rahul Bose loves to take a stand on various social causes and says any tragedy or calamity shakes him to the core.

"I love to take a stand on social causes. My turning point was when I read about the Gujarat riots and the disaster it created. I was completely taken aback and couldn't stand the pain of people and what they were going through, " Bose told.

"Any tragedy, especially to do with women, shakes me. That is when I made myself strong and thought of indulging in social activities, " he added.
