Recently, while shooting for the movie on a cruise liner off Singapore, the director went on a deep sleep in his room and that cost the producer 15 lakhs. Actually, Sagar was locked up in his room for the whole day and the entire unit kept waiting for him to start shooting. But as he did not turn up, the shooting was not done that day.
A source from the crew was quoted saying that they had shot for 20 days on the Star Virgo Cruise. All the cast and crew were present at shooting spot except the director Sagar Bellary, who did not wake up on time, the source added. The unit waited for him to wake up from the deep sleep. They tried to call him up, banged his door but all were in vain.
The source further informed that the cruise had a particular lock system in the doors, which could not be opened from outside if it is locked from the inside. So, the unit was left with no other option but to wait for him to come out.
All were wondering what went wrong with him. Finally, the director woke up in the evening when it was impossible to shoot as there was no daylight.
The day went totally wasted and Sagar felt very embarrassed so he offered the producers to cut the losses of the day from his fees. The director said that it was due to exhaustion that he ended up with that never-ending nap.
