The signature property of the MTV channel has been Cyrus' 'Bakra'. The new season of the most popular reality show in
television is likely to start telecasting from October 16.
Cyrus Broacha, the host of 'MTV Bakra' was quoted informing that the promos of the new season have already been
prepared but the shooting will start only after the 'Ganpati' festival.
MTV is planning to telecast the new episodes from October 16, but the outdoor shooting has remained pending due to the
rain. The channel has brought out a gag every year on April Fool's day since the launch of the show without any failure.
But this time, a new format has been planned and it was liked by everyone. So, this time they agreed to come up with a
new avatar of 'Bakra'.
It is reported that some other VJs from the channel have hosted a few initial episodes but Cyrus Broacha will be back in
the upcoming editions.
Aditya Swamy, the channel head of MTV India was quoted saying that in this hectic life, everyone seeks for a relaxation
and that fun element is brought to them by 'Bakra'. He added that people think 'reality show' is what MTV is all about but
it's only a youth 'adda' that plays some harmless pranks on people.
As per the channel sources, a total renovation is done with the format of the show and viewers can experience brand new
gags too.
Swamy added that Cyrus is shown as the butcher in the promos, whose harmless victims are shown as goats.
