On the eve of the Commonwealth Games (CWG), musician Kailash Kher and his band Kailasa will gift their latest single, a swinging chant-like song, to Delhi.

The song has been written and sung by Kailash himself and composed by Kailash, Paresh and Naresh.

Kailash felt that the recently the focus has been so much on the bad side of the games that the citizens have forgotten to look at the bright side.

"We keep saying Vasudeva Kutumbhakam, but when there is a small function in India where two families are uniting, within the families itself, each member puts their best foot forward, each prepares a special act to stage, and it is like a competition but an extremely happy and healthy one.

Each function has some shortcoming but we do not stop celebrating. Then why aren't we focusing on how to make the most of celebrating the Games and the spirit of sportsmanship?"said Kher.

Kher said he wanted to make a contribution in his own way on the eve of a time when one third of the world will be India's guest.

"Our brothers and sister from beyond a hundred boundaries are coming and joining us and we should make sure this union is one of celebration and sportsmanship. Not failure and incompetence. So we decided to do what we do best and thus made the song 'Yaaron Jashn Manao', and decided to give it to the city of Delhi, " said Kher.

He said people will be able to see his vision of celebration and the country's glory in the lyrics of this song.

The song uses words like 'swagat', 'jashn', 'rang', 'saji-dhaji dilli', to capture the mood of celebration.

Kher said this song is his way of expressing his support and respect for our players and sportsmen.
