Bollywood star Akshay Kumar will be walking the ramp in Bangalore at an event, which will be a culmination of his signature campaign against the use of the word 'retard'.

Akshay, who is the brand ambassador for Special Olympics, will sport clothes by Bangalore-based designer Ramesh Dembla at the grand finale of the campaign, said a source.

The event will be held Oct 30.

Akshay will also lead a pledge at the ceremony where everyone present will take an oath to eradicate the use of the 'r-word' in reference to mentally challenged people.
