Believe it or not, Vivaan Shah bagged a role in Vishal Bharadwaj's Saat Khoon Maaf much before his illustrious father Naseeruddin Shah, who incidentally happens to be a Bharadwaj favourite.

Candidly admitting this startling reversal of casting protocol, Naseer says, "Actually, I came in last. I was an after-thought. But Vivaan was an integral part of Saat Khoon Maaf from the start. He has a far more pivotal role than me."

Naseer has no scenes with his son in Saat Khoon Maaf. "We don't come face to face... fortunately. During the shooting, I made sure I was nowhere around when Vivaan was doing his scenes. It was a conscious decision. I didn't want Vivaan to get self conscious. I just stayed away, " says Naseer.
