Director Aparna Sen and actor Rahul Bose have more reasons to celebrate Diwali this year with their film 'The Japanese Wife' winning the best film award at the 'Hidden Gems Film Festival' at Calgary in Canada.

"Very good news. The Japanese Wife wins best film at the Hidden Gems filmfest in calgary. 92% of the audience voted for it, " said actor Rahjul Bose who played the lead role in the movie.

This year, the general public was given an opportunity to vote for their favourite movie by the authorities and it was a pleasurable moment for the cast and crew of the movie as they found that 92% of people liked their film.

"Thank you very much for your congratulations on The Japanese Wife's win at the calgary festival. I shall convey them to Aparna, " tweeted Rahul Bose.

Earlier this year, the film had also bagged three awards at the Star Entertainment Awards.
