If reports are to be believed, Amitabh Bachchan is all set to copyright his legendary baritone that has mesmerized the audience for such a long time.

Recently, Amitabh Bachchan got angry after a gutkha manufacturer used a voice double to record an advertisement promoting his products. After the incident was brought to the veteran actor's attention he said that he has never promoted tobacco products and will never do so in the future.

As for the voice caricature part Amitabh is going to copyright his voice so that no one can use it to market their own products. Although it is a good gesture from the senior actor, but inst it going a bit too far?

The actor said that presently his lawyers are working on the intricacies of the issue at hand and soon he will file the copyright claims. Once (rather if) the proposal gets sanctioned, Amitabh Bachchan will have complete monopoly over his voice. No one will be able to reproduce, recreate or make a caricature of it without his permission.

According to Amitabh Bachchan, this is the only way to protect his voice from being misused to promote unethical products that do not have his sign of approval.

It goes without saying that from now on, anyone who wants to use Big B's voice will have to dole out a huge amount of cash to the superstar. Perhaps this is just another way for the superstar to rake in some more moolah.
