On the occasion of Children's Day, eBay India, India's leading eCommerce marketplace, in association with actror Genelia D'souza, will be auctioning a few prized possessions from her DreamHouse.

All proceeds received from the auction will benefit NGO Aseema which aims to provide education to underprivileged children. 28 items from the eBay DreamHouse will be on auction from November 9-16.

Genelia will be auctioning 28 of her DreamHouse buys on eBay India which include the digital photo frame, rugs, sleeping Buddha and Birdfeeder. All the items which are up for auction, will be shipped free of cost nationally to encourage fans to support this good cause.

Genelia said, "My association with eBay India for the DreamHouse Challenge has been an extremely exciting experience. The challenge gave me an opportunity to do up my house with products of my choice in a limited time & budget which I never imagined to be possible.

"Today, I will be auctioning a few prized possessions from my DreamHouse for a noble cause, of which the Birdhouse feeder is my personal favorite. All the proceeds received from the auction will benefit Aseema. I encourage all my fans to bid generously and help in contributing to the society for a good deed."

The DreamHouse Challenge posed to Genelia by eBay India was to transform her new empty apartment into an attractive home with all the furniture, gadgets, home décor items, etc bought only on eBay India.

This will mean a lot to our children this Children's Day as we will be able to provide them with better and exciting teaching aids when they return to School."

The DreamHouse Challenge provided her with a budget of Rs. 4, 50, 000 and two weeks to browse eBay, identify items for the unique look she wanted to create, place orders with the sellers & set up the house.
