"So what if I lost? Wherever I am going people are hugging me. They want to shake hands with me and want to take pictures with me! I feel that agar haarne se aisi popularity mil rahi hai toh jeetne pe kya hota (If I have become so popular after losing the show, I wonder what would have happened if I would have won), " Batar told on phone from Mumbai.
The 32-year-old, originally from Meerut, became the first contestant to reach the Rs.1 crore mark on the ongoing fourth season of KBC on Sony. But in an attempt to push his luck too far to win the mega jackpot of Rs.5 crore (Rs.50 million), Batar lost and went back home with only Rs.3.2 lakh (Rs.320, 000) on Tuesday's episode.
However, he is not mourning.
"I have taken the loss very positively. After all I went there to play a game. If nobody takes a chance to win Rs.5 crore, how will they ever win the amount? Victory and failure is all part of the game. My heart said I must not quit and so I played, " he said.
Batar, who had dreamt of going on a romantic holiday with actress Deepika Padukone to Antarctica and wished to buy a BMW for his parents after winning Rs.5 crore, says he is quite content after meeting Big B.
"I had a lovely interaction with Mr. Bachchan. His aura and presence is so positive...it just felt great to be sitting in front of such a big personality. It was truly a dream come true."
Son of a former joint commissioner in Meerut, Batar has been staying in Mumbai for the past six years and trying to carve a niche for himself in showbiz. He claims to have featured in a few music videos and in bit roles in regional films, but now he hopes to write a script for Amitabh.
"I have a script in mind for Mr.Bachchan. It is about a fictitious attack of aliens in Mumbai. But I would not like to comment on it much. I will talk about it once I finish writing the script. I only hope that Mr.Bachchan remembers me always, " said Batar.
Other than filmmaking, Batar also wants to enter a dance reality show to learn popular moves, and feels his newly acquired popularity through KBC will open many doors for him.
Meanwhile, Batar, who feels ticklish at the mention of Deepika, is still on the lookout for a girl who creates some "gudgudi" (tickle) in his heart.
