The cute alien that wowed audiences with its luminescent eyes and antics in Hindi film "Koi Mil Gaya" is to entertain children on the Nickelodeon channel.

Nickelodeon, also known as Nick, along with Graphiti Multimedia and Filmkraft India, will feature the alien in an animated-cum-live action series beginning Nov 14.

The series has been jointly produced and authored by Nick and Graphiti Multimedia Private Limited. According to sources, the series answers one of the questions prying on children's minds: "What happened to Jadoo on his home planet?"

The series is guaranteed to transport children into an "exciting world" where Jadoo and his friends gambol along as plot after plot is revealed to keep viewers absolutely glued to their TV sets, its producers assert.

Alex Kuruvilla, managing director, MTV Networks India, said: "Jadoo is the first of many big moves planned for Nick.

"Nick will provide shows and content that blend the best of international expertise with local creative talent to give Indian kids the best they can get!"

Ram Mohan, chairman and chief creative officer, Graphiti Multimedia Private Limited said: "When we came to Nick with the idea of introducing a Bollywood character like Jadoo, they thought it was a fabulous concept.

"This series marks several firsts already but we are certain more firsts will be created along the way."
