Filmmaker Kunal Kohli Tuesday tweeted that he was undergoing treatment for follicular tonsillitis, an inflammation of the tonsils.

"Hospitals can be scary but not if you're admitted just for intravenous therapy, right? Just got admitted into Lilavati. Hopefully be out in two days. All well, " Kunal wrote on microblogging site Twitter.

"Thanks for all your wishes, It's a bad case of follicular tonsillitis, am improving, hopefully out of hospital by Thursday, " he added.

Kunal, the producer of upcoming film "Break Ke Baad", fell so ill last week that he was forced to cut short his promotional tour of the movie, which stars Imran Khan and Deepika Padukone.

"Fell seriously sick in London. Aborted my trip. Imran continues in London and New York City. Deepika in London too. Me back home, severely ill. Me recovering to start promotions again, " he wrote.

Directed by Danish Aslam, "Break Ke Baad" is a film about space needed in relationships. It is due to release Nov 26.
