Saif is back from his world tour, Temptations 2004, but he has brought a piece of it back home too and believe us it's beautiful and called Rosa.
And even before you try to decipher her origins he clarifies, "Rosa is a friend and she's also somebody's daughter so let's keep her out of this. Right now, I am not comfortable talking about her. And just for the record, Rosa is not a bar dancer. That's rubbish."
He may dodge you on his new girlfriend's issue but one thing is for sure Saif and Amrita are parting way... though amicably.
"It's true that Amrita and I aren't staying together. But there's no bitterness or anguish over it. We have decided to part amicably due to certain differences that we couldn't resolve. My children are my priority and I want to make sure that Amrita and they are secure and well provided for. As I see it, they will now have two homes. Custody will never be an issue. Amrita will always be the mother of my children and I have the greatest regard and respect for her," he says.
Khan dismisses rumours that he froze joint accounts which forced Amrita to look for work in television.
"In fact, I took care of her financial security even before I left for stage shows overseas," he alleges and maintains, "I don't want her to be inconvenienced in any manner. In fact, I want her to be able to live her life the way she has lived so far - whether it is finding her a good house or making sure she has no financial problems. As for my parents, they are just as concerned about her as they are about me."
Khan admits that he had a tough time handling all the false allegations that were made by press when he was away on world tour.
Saif says, "I was really hurt when I came to know about these stories. I don't want my kids to read all this stuff. Amrita knows the truth and she also knows that she and the kids will be well taken care of. She has given me all that I have, she's made me what I am. We've always supported each other and we'll continue to do so."
"My house will be an open house for all of them. I just want to give this whole thing as much dignity as possible."
