The song called "Rehnuma" will feature with the end credits of Hindi, Tamil and Telugu version of the 3D movie. The song was part of Sreeram's first album "Rehnuma", which was released by Sony Music after he won "Indian Idol 5".
"'Indian Idol' was a dream come true and now a song in 'Narnia 3' is like magic unfolding right in front of my eyes. I am delighted, honoured and humbled to have this opportunity. Now, of course, it all depends on how well the audience accepts and responds to it, " Sreeram said in a press statement.
There will be a special music video featuring Sreeram and clips from the film. "Narnia 3" will release Dec 3.
Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios India, said: "Sreeram's fresh, youthful voice is a perfect match to the exciting and thrilling Narnia experience."
The association is part of a unique initiative by Twentieth Century Fox, which is recording songs by several international artists for their respective country markets. While "American Idol" winner and five-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood has recorded the end title song, "There's a Place for Us, " for the US, Joe McElderry has recorded the song for Britain, and Swedish boy-band E.M.D. has recorded it for Sweden.
"Sreeram's versatility and talent as a singer have taken him places. We are proud of this collaboration, through which an Indian artist receives an international performance platform, " said Shridhar Subramaniam, managing director, Sony Music, India.
