"I am super excited. It's kind of a dream come true in a way because for a long time I wanted to do something like this. I was itching to wear my dancing shoes, " Yana told.
When asked how naturally her body responds to foot-tapping numbers, she said: "It does come naturally, but not what we are doing in the competition. It is totally un-natural... It is very hard work."
The 31-year-old agrees her new album has been the reason behind her hibernation.
"I was in UK recording an album and now I have come back to Mumbai. Now I'm going to be around for a very long time. Yes, definitely something like an item song is going to happen very soon, " she said.
Yana not only features in the album, but has also penned lyrics of the songs.
"Making an album is an incredibly long process, it is just unbelievable how much it could take. You evolve, you learn the strings attached to it.
"It's just the emotions you need to feel and express in the right manner. Sometimes you are upset, sometimes you are happy - same goes with the lyrics. They come up in mind in the extremist of conditions.
"The whole feel of the album is very magical. I say magical because when I sing it, I feel very happy, peaceful and playful. It is very positive and definitely not kind of serious, " she said.
