Amitabh Bachchan will next be seen in a Marathi play directed by Mahesh Manjrekar where the iconic Indian actor will
reportedly play himself.
However, Big B will not perform live onstage! Titled 'Mi Shahrukh Manjarsumbekar', the
Mahesh Manjrekar play deals with the present day political situation. According to reports in the media, Amitabh Bachchan
will be seen on a screen while the play is going on and from there he will converse with the main character of 'Mi Shahrukh
Manjarsumbekar' played by Siddharth Jadhav.
The reports also claim that Big B and Siddharth Jadhav will
engage in political talks during their conversation, the subjects of these talks changing with subsequent performances of the
play.
In a statement to the media, Mahesh Manjrekar says that stage is his first love but he has also adapted the play for the big
screen, albeit with several changes in the storyline. Amitabh Bachchan will be a part of the film as well but replacing
Siddharth Jadhav for the film version of 'Mi Shahrukh Manjarsumbekar' is the director himself Mahesh Manjrekar.
Needless to say, Amitabh Bachchan is the star attraction of the play as well as the upcoming film versions of 'Mi Shahrukh
Manjarsumbekar'.
Mahesh Manjrekar says that Rahul Gandhi's comments during the election time in Bihar will
form the starting point of his play. The play as well as the film versions of 'Mi Shahrukh Manjarsumberkar' will be showcased
simultaneously.
